Decorative artist James E. Todd specializes in extraordinary faux finishes, murals, special wall treatments, faux wood, marble and stone, and theme interiors, as well as textures, trompe l'oeil, and old-style hand-painted signs.

With over 30 years of experience, James began his career in the greater Cleveland area as a sign painter, learning from master craftsmen; this led to painting murals.

While living in the San Francisco area for about 20 years, he began working in the motion picture and theater industries painting sets and scenery -- where he mastered faux finishing techniques. Movies he worked on include James and the Giant Peach, The Joy Luck Club, and Mrs. Doubtfire. (See resume below for complete list of scenic work.)

Since returning to the Cleveland area 15 years ago, he has connected with other local artists, focusing on murals, theme interiors, and truly unique, highly individualized faux finishes.
